An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson has revealed that around 100,000 residents are still present in Gaza City. This is despite alerts from the Israeli military advising inhabitants to relocate to the southern parts of the enclave in anticipation of a forthcoming ground operation.

Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, as cited by The Guardian, mentions that the “enhanced military operations” are scheduled to commence when it aligns with their strategic objectives.
