The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed the detention of 440 Palestinians in the West Bank since the outbreak of hostilities in the Gaza Strip on October 7. Of those arrested, 220 have been identified as Hamas affiliates.
In the most recent operations, the military apprehended 51 individuals associated with Hamas, among them a number of high-ranking members.
Tensions have escalated in the West Bank, marked by confrontations between the IDF and Palestinians. The army has reported multiple attempted terror incidents in the area.
The Palestinian Authority’s health department has recorded 61 Palestinian deaths in the West Bank at the hands of Israeli forces since October 7.
Further details reveal the toll of the Gaza conflict: over 4,200 injuries and approximately 1,400 fatalities. The IDF has also made contact with families of 199 Israelis believed to be held captive in Gaza.
