The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have declared the establishment of a humanitarian zone in the southern part of Gaza, specifically in the Al-Mawasi area near Khan Younis. This initiative is a result of days-long discussions with Egypt, the US, and other parties, aiming to furnish a secure area for Gazans looking for refuge.

In this designated area, Palestinians can expect to receive essential international humanitarian aid. Furthermore, the IDF continues to advise Palestinians residing in the northern regions of the Gaza Strip to relocate southward, emphasizing impending significant military operations in that zone.

A map outlining the exact location of this humanitarian space has been released by the military. It’s noteworthy that previously, on Tuesday, areas around Khan Younis and Rafah underwent bombardments, leading to public dismay, especially since these regions were hosting Palestinians who heeded earlier IDF advisories to move from the north.
