The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed US officials, has reported that the US military is preparing to deploy approximately 2,000 soldiers to Israel.

These troops, however, are not anticipated to be engaged in direct combat roles. Instead, they are set to provide advisory services and medical assistance.

The report specifically indicates that no infantry personnel have been included in the planned deployment list.
